SIGN UP FOR THE STATEWIDE EDUCATION TOUR Lost and Found Named Official Selection at the 2025 All American High School Film Festival! Out of more than 2,500 submissions from all 50 states and over 40 countries, Lost and Found is among the films selected to screen at this year’s prestigious All American High School Film Festival in New York City! The film will be shown at AMC Theaters in Times Square – yes, that Times Square – during the festival weekend, October 17–19, 2025. We’re honored to be in the running for their top awards, with nominees and winners announced live during the Teen Indie Awards on Sunday, October 19. Last year’s awards included over $500,000 in scholarships and prizes! Lost and Found was created during deadCenter University Youth Camp at Oklahoma City Community College, held June 3–6, 2024. It was a powerful week of collaboration and creativity among young Oklahoma filmmakers. GRAB YOUR TICKETS Volunteer Spotlight We’re thrilled to shine this month’s Volunteer Spotlight on Lori McCollough! Lori joined the deadCenter Box Office Team this year as a day chair, and from day one, she handled the role like a seasoned pro. But that’s not all. Lori is also an award-winning screenwriter! Her first screenplay, Angus Led Me to You, has made an incredible impact on the film festival circuit. Since writing it during a screenwriting class in January 2024, the script has been selected, nominated, named a finalist, or taken home awards at 20 different film festivals. Most notably, it recently won Best Original Screenplay at the 2025 Cannes Film Awards. 🎉 Here’s what Lori had to say about her journey: “I feel incredibly honored and blessed with my screenplay's recognition. It is set in rural Oklahoma and includes references to agriculture, including showing livestock, FFA, and 4-H. They shaped who I am today and taught me so much, so I want to give back to Oklahoma by including them in my feature. All of this is still very new to me, as I’ve only been involved in the film industry for about a year and a half. I’m crossing my fingers that I’ll have the opportunity to produce my feature soon – and maybe even make it to deadCenter! It would be amazing to both volunteer and see my film screen at the festival. Truly the best of both worlds! I am hoping that I get to do this all full time someday!” We’re proud to have Lori on our team and can’t wait to see what she does next.
