  • Alexandria Yolie

    FESTIVAL + OUTREACH MANAGER

Alexandria Yolie is a trilingual Chicana artist born and raised in Los Angeles, California. She started singing at four and never really stopped—just kept finding new rooms to do it in! Theatre became home early on, and she has trained as an actress for over ten years, earning an International Thespian title, serving as President of Troupe 7944, and holding a term as a California State Thespian Officer. Her work is rooted in culture and community, with a deep commitment to bringing her heritage into the room and uplifting Latino voices along the way.

She earned her BFA in Stage and Screen Performance from Oklahoma City University (’25). Her time studying Physical Theatre at Accademia dell’Arte in Arezzo, Italy became a turning point—an experience that helped her fully step into her voice as an artist and her identity as a woman. Working through devised processes—building from the ground up with ensemble, story, and impulse—reshaped how she approaches art. It pushed her toward work that feels truthful, reflects the world around us, and centers collaboration at its core.

Her stage work includes Mother Road by Octavio Solis (Mo), along with a Female Swing track for A Christmas Carol covering Christmas Past, Belle, Fred’s Wife, Fred’s Wife’s Sister, Beggar Woman, and more, with Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. She also understudied Sonia and Ella in Life Sucks. by Aaron Posner with Oklahoma Repertory Theatre, and performed multiple lead roles during her time at OCU.

Post-grad, she co-wrote, directed, and produced her first short film SOUP. with Ryleigh Baker, sparking her love for indie filmmaking in Oklahoma City. Since then, she’s moved fluidly between roles—actor, director, producer, First AD, Production Assistant—drawn to every layer of the storytelling process. Her work offstage includes serving as Media Manager for OFA Studios and working with Filmmakers Ranch as Executive Assistant to the Founder, EA to the deadCenter Film Podcast, and EA to Special Projects and Community. These experiences have led her into an exciting new chapter with deadCenter Film, continuing to deepen her connection to the filmmaking community.

She’s most at home in collaborative spaces—devised rooms, indie film sets, late-night rehearsals—where ideas are shared, challenged, and built together. Also—karaoke and cabarets. Always. Beyond her work as an artist, Alexandria loves to laugh, dance, and be a friend to as many people as possible. The Oklahoma City film community continues to inspire her, and she’s excited to give back and grow alongside it.
