Congratulations to deadCenter Oklahoma Film ICON Sterlin Harjo
on being named to the first-ever 2025 National Geographic 33 list!
This prestigious recognition, an homage to National Geographic’s 33 founders, celebrates a new generation of global trailblazers making a big impact on conservation, science, storytelling, policy, and more. Sterlin is being honored for his incredible contributions to storytelling and the film industry that spotlight and amplify Indigenous voices —especially right here in Oklahoma.
Sterlin is best known for his work on the acclaimed FX series Reservation Dogs, and we are so proud to see him honored alongside global change makers like Michelle Yeoh, Jason Momoa, and Selena Gomez.
